Using a new, sterile syringe each time will prevent infection and injury. This is because each time a syringe is used, the needle tip gets blunted (even if you can’t see it!).
When choosing your syringe type, be careful to choose the correct gauge and cc.
The gauge is the thickness of the needle. The smaller the gauge, the thicker the needle.
The cc is the volume of the barrel, which is important to consider when adding water. For instance, you would double the amount of water added if you are switching from a 0.5 to 1 cc syringe.
